FAQ

Seventh Circle is a small house and garage in West Denver that hosts a record store, venue space, practice space and multi-use art space. The space is run by a collective of like-minded people who donate their time, equipment and expertise to running shows and keeping the spirit of DIY alive and well in Denver.
Seventh Circle Music Collective is a safe space and open to all. You will not be judged based on your race, sex, gender presentation or identity, ability, religion, sexual orientation, country of origin, language or citizen status. We can’t wait to see you!

I WANT TO ATTEND A SHOW AT SEVENTH CIRCLE. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW?

  • Every show is all ages, every time, no matter what.
  • The cover for a show is a suggested cash donation (usually somewhere between $5 and $15). Donations of volunteer time and supplies will always be accepted as well.
  • We are able to take credit and debit card payments for donations at the door or purchase of record store items and merch.
  • We ask that you do not bring weapons, glass bottles/jars or pets to the space. We’re really into safety around here.
  • Music usually starts by 7:30P, the local scene is incredible and you’ll probably love the opening band. Show up early.
  • There is an accessible entrance to the showspace so all people are able to enjoy the music, but we are still working on accessible restroom facilities. (A major goal for 2019! Donate and help us get there!)
  • Street Parking is available along 7th Ave. Please be very cautious when parking on the street and be mindful of all posted signage. (Best bet is on the slope of the hill, north side of the street)

MY BAND IS PLAYING SEVENTH CIRCLE. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW?

  • Generally, the show format is 4-5 bands with the touring band playing somewhere in the middle.
  • Everyone working your show is donating their time.
  • You will receive an advance email with schedules and contact info approx. 24 hours before your show.
  • 7th Circle *might* make a Facebook event for your show, but for the most part, we do not have the manpower for full promotions. Organize with the other bands on the show, make a flyer and promote together! (If you do have a flyer, feel free to email it to web.scmcdenver@gmail.com. and we’ll post it up in the space for you.)
  • If you need a specific set time or a backline, please contact the person booking the show or the other bands as soon as you are able to make arrangements.
  • Since everything is donation-based, there’s no guest list.
  • You will have about 5 mins to load on and then 5 min to load off. You will likely play a 20-30min set. Please be prepared to move quickly and efficiently.

A COLLECTIVE?! RAD, I WANT IN.

  • Heck yeah! We’d love to have you.
  • Each member of our collective has their own way of contributing. Most people volunteer to help run shows!
  • The commitment isn’t much, we generally ask that members are able to work shows at least twice a month and attend one meeting a month.
  • If you want to join and contribute in another way, that’s also an option and great! You’ll still be asked to attend monthly meetings, either way.
  • In order to join the collective, fill out the form in the “Join” tab of this website. If you have already filled that out and are having trouble accessing your member account, email web.scmcdenver@gmail.com
